Wait, what? Just seven, saving two individuals in a single day!
When a boy said, “I’m choking,” Davyon overheard him in school. A water bottle top was suffocating a seventh-grader. Davyon sprang into action after watching the Heimlich Maneuver on YouTube and, after three tries, was successful in getting the bottle cap out of the boy’s throat.
And then…
Later that day, while driving home with his mom, they noticed smoke rising from a house. He asked his mom to stop, he saw an elderly woman having difficulty escaping the flaming house. Without giving it any thought he sprang into action again assisting her in leaving the house safely. The fire department arrived and took over from there.
The Muskogee Police Department was impressed by his extraordinary deeds and awarded him a certificate designating him an honorary member of their squad.
His parents, uncle, and other members of his family taught him the value of doing the right thing. And when he grows up, Davyon wants to become an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
